pinch your people
last updated: August 2026
this explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
Pinch ("we," "us") is a social app that lets you send small, honest relationship check-ins to friends, siblings, partners, and acquaintances. This policy covers the Pinch website and app, and applies to anyone who uses either.
We collect only what the product actually needs to work — nothing extra for its own sake:
We use a small number of service providers to actually run Pinch — they process data on our behalf, under their own security commitments, and don't get to use your data for their own purposes:
We don't share your data with anyone else, and we don't sell it — full stop.
Every request to our database is checked against row-level security rules, meaning the database itself — not just our app's interface — enforces who can see what. Sensitive fields like your birthdate and raw score are additionally walled off so they can't be read even by a technically sophisticated request. All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS).
You can edit or remove your bio, change your display name, and choose what's shown on your profile at any time from your profile page. To request a copy of your data, or to have your account and data deleted, contact us through the contact page — we'll act on it promptly.
Pinch is intended for people aged 13 and older. When you sign up, we ask you to confirm you meet this requirement — we're being upfront that this is based on what you tell us, not an independent verification process. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we'll remove it and delete the associated data.
If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account, or you'd like to review or have their information removed, contact us through the contact page — we'll act on it promptly, no questions asked.
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Pinch after a change means you accept the update.
Questions about this policy or your data? Reach us through the contact page.
